Success at this month’s College Procurement Forum
The College Procurement Forum on Wednesday 11th March was hosted by South Staffordshire College with Peter Lauener, CEO of the Skills Funding Academy, as the keynote speaker.
It was a productive morning for colleagues from within the sector, discussing the effect on college budgets of funding cuts and falling rolls, as well as sharing ideas on centralising procurement, shared services and collaboration across campuses and ultimately between colleges.
If you missed the event you can watch Peter Lauener’s video broadcast here.
Two papers were also shared at the event. The first was a Summary Update of the new EU public contracts regulations and how colleges can benefit from them. The second a College Procurement Strategy, sharing how to develop an effective plan to generate savings and help ensure that you are getting best value and best quality services from your suppliers.
If you would like a copy of these papers please email us at contactus@collegesbuyingclub.com or call us on 0845 257 0566. We will also be available to answer any questions, or cover anything specific, if you need any clarification on how the new rules can benefit colleges.
